From start to finish, create a piece of sterling silver jewelry. With guidance along the way, you will learn the basics of metalsmithing. Choose from 5 designs, cut, file, solder, and texture your way to a piece of adornment for yourself, made by yourself. No experience required.

Mala Making Workshop

A mala is a simple string of beads used in meditation to count mantras, prayers, or intentions. Mala is a Sanskrit word meaning garland, and is a type of meditation tool that was developed to keep the mind focused and clear from thoughts.

In this class, you will create your own Mala using traditional sandalwood beads and semi-precious stones. You will be asked to provide focus word. This word is stamped in metal and will be wrapped around your chosen tassel during class.
